Thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday for our event at the DTX Manchester Conference held at the Manchester Central Convention Complex. This marks the second successful collaboration between DevOps Exchange and DTX Europe, and it was a tremendous success!
The DevOps Exchange took over the Dev Transform Stage on the first day of the conference, and we were thrilled to host four established companies, each sharing insights on the latest advancements and trends in the DevOps market.
First up, David Skinner from Jaguar Land Rover joined us to talk through key strategies to enable a MACH strategy enterprise wide. David spoke in great detail about what MACH is and why organisations use it, featuring detailed examples of what a MACH platform looks like and what its maturity model looks like.
You can view David's slides here.
We then welcomed to the stage, Danielle Summers from Redgate Software who shared with us a variety of experiences from her career so far, to demonstrate how the 'developer culture' has evolved over the years.
You can view Danielle's slides here.
Next up, Mick Morse from business and technology consulting company, Slalom Build explored the different implementations of SRE teams, including typical team visions and objectives that you can instil into your own team.
Mick spoke about why team objectives are important to set the team direction and lay the foundations for success, the importance of team structure and why having a clear talent strategy is paramount in laying the foundations for the teams success.
You can view Mick's slides here.
Finally, Anna Aitchison from CallCare delivered a talk around all things Kubernetes. From how it actually works, how it talks, how it remembers, how it's created, and finally how it's not actually that scary when you get to know it.
You can view Anna's slides here.
Thank you to every single one of you who joined us! It was great to connect with individuals who are new to the DevOps Exchange, we hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did!
Thank you to all of our speakers for their insightful talks and DTX Manchester, for allowing us to be part of this incredible conference again! We can't wait for the next conference in London towards the end of 2024!
Our next Manchester event will be taking place in June and will be hosted by Zuhlke Engineering. Details will be launched on our Meetup page very soon!
We hope to see you all very soon!
